Shipping Terms / Conditions

Can I have my drugs shipped to my doctor's office?
"Yes you can however it is not required. Canada Discount Healthcare.com Internet Pharmacy is an on-line retail pharmacy and as a result - does business directly with individuals. Since all drugs are shipped via Priority Post virtually all customer request that their shipments be mailed directly to their homes."

"We only ship to the United States (continental US, Hawaii, and Alaska). We do not ship to any other country or Canada."

How long will it take to process my new order and ship my drugs?
"Your order may take up to 1-3 days to process and up to 7-14 days for shipping provided that there are no problems with your order (i.e. missing information, credit card processing difficulties). In addition, the postal system is currently experiencing delays in the western and south-western areas of the U.S. owing to mail volumes at customs facilities in those areas. The affected states are as follows:

·         Washington

·         Indiana

·         Oregon

·         Nevada

·         California

·         Arizona

·         New Mexico

·         Utah

·         Wyoming

·         Colorado

·         Montana

·         Florida - Even though this state is in the east, it has been added to the list because the U.S. Customs inspection regime has been increased here as well.

As a result delivery times may exceed our maximum 14-day delivery time expectation. As a result, our 14-day re-ship policy will not be in effect for these affected areas. If you live in one of these affected areas, please plan your prescription order lead times to compensate for the possibility of a delivery delay.

Can my wife/husbands order be combined and shipped in the same box in order to save on the shipping cost?
"If you have a significant other in the same household that orders items from us at the same time we will (at your request) ship all the items in the same box for the one $15.00 charge."

What happens if my shipment never arrives?
"If a shipment does not arrive within 21 days, Canada Discount Healthcare.com will either fully refund a customers payment or will reship the order. You (the customer) will be offered a choice of either of the two options."

What happens if customs (or related agency) "seizes" my order?
"If a shipment does not arrive within 21 days, Canada Discount Healthcare.com Internet Pharmacy will either fully refund a customers payment or will reship the order. You (the customer) will be offered a choice of either of the two options."

How are my prescriptions sent to me - is the box marked or other wise labeled as containing prescription drugs?
"Your drugs will be sent to you in a box marked only with the pharmacy's return address - there is never any indication made of the contents of the box."

Who gets to see the information I've submitted in the patient questionnaire?
"The only people that get to see your file are person employed by Canada Discount Healthcare.com working in a patient/customer contact position. Your file - including the payment information is consider confidential and will not be viewed or shared with anyone outside of or not employed by Canada Discount Healthcare.com Internet Pharmacy."

What kind of "special" safeguards do you have in place to stop my information from being shared with anyone else against my wishes?
"All garbage is shredded and each Canada Discount Healthcare.com employee is required by law to sign and maintain a confidentiality agreement with the understanding that all information received from customers is confidential."

Difference between Canada Discount Healthcare.com and a Retail Pharmacy

What is the difference between a regular Canadian-based retail pharmacy and Canada Discount Healthcare.com Internet Pharmacy?
The difference is that Canada Discount Healthcare.com has in place a system to ship drugs to the United States - complete with the necessary personnel in place to support those activities such as but not limited to:

·         Doctors that are licensed to practice in both Canada and the United States.

·         On-staff licensed pharmacists

·         On-staff certified pharmacy technicians.

Will I still be able to buy prescription drugs in the United States after I've purchased drugs from you?
"Yes. Purchasing prescription drugs from Canada or any other country does not preclude your from purchasing other prescription drugs in your home state."

Do I need a Prescription?
"Yes! We require a prescription for all medications that are prescription only in Canada and the United States. Just like your local pharmacy we require a valid prescription from a physician licensed to practice in your area of residence."

"Any prescription older than 6 months will likely be refused."

Does my doctor have to know that I am getting my prescriptions fill by a Canadian company?
"No, however on occasion we may need to phone your physician for further information or a clarification. At that time our pharmacists would identify themselves as employees of Canada Discount Healthcare.com Internet Pharmacy. It may be a good idea to inform your physician anyways since they should be informed of all of the details of your medical condition - including the source of the drugs that you are taking."

Can my doctor fill in and fax/send in the medical profile for me?
"Yes, however this is not a requirement. All of the necessary information can be sent in by you on your own."

Can you fill prescriptions from American doctors only?
"Yes - American doctors only, in addition the prescriber must be duly licensed in your area of residence."

Exchange Policy

What is your exchange policy…if you have one?
It is unlawful for Canada Discount Healthcare.com to accept any returns on medication so all sales are final. However we may, at our discretion, exchange and replace a Product, in the event of damage or defect of the product.

First Drug Orders?

Can I submit all of the information required to get my first order underway through the Canada Discount Healthcare.com website?
"Yes and no. You can submit all of the information required in the Medical Profile on-line however, we will still require you to mail or fax in your initial prescription(s) before we can begin to ship you your drugs.

Please be sure that the writing is clear and legible or we may have to contact your physician - this could delay the processing of your order."

Generic Drugs / Effectiveness
"Generic drugs are the same in terms of effectiveness as brand-name drugs"

What if I don't want generic substitution, can I opt to have only brand-name drugs?
"Yes. On the Medical Profile there is a space that allows you to indicate whether or not generic substitution is acceptable. If you wish to have generic substitution on only some of your prescriptions, you can do any one of the following:

·         Get your doctor to write the prescription specifically requesting the generic drug.

·         On the Medical Profile in the " Prescription to be Filled" section write the brand name of the drug desired then put the word (GENERIC) in parenthesis beside it.

·         Write a note and include it when you fax or mail in the Medical Profile indicating which drugs you wish to have filled with generics and which you require the brand names."

Invoicing / Will I get Billed?

Will I receive a bill along with my order and what will be listed on the bill?
"Yes, you will receive a bill along with your order. The bill will detail all of the items that you were shipped and the shipping charges. You may also view your bill online via the Canada Discount Healthcare.com "Member Services" area under “view orders”

"The price list of items (Drugs) that we quote are constantly updated. This is the list of the items we carry complete with prices stated in US Dollar funds.

New Customer, What do I do?

What do I have to do in order to get started with your company?
In order to get started with us, you will be required to:

1.      Visit your doctor and get new prescriptions for all of the items that you require - we may also be able to transfer prescriptions from the pharmacy that you may be dealing with now.

2.      Next, you will be required to fill in one of our Medical Profiles, this form will allow you to share some additional information with us so that our Canadian doctor can properly review your prescription needs - if you don't have one presently, we can mail, fax or email one to you or direct you to our website were you will be able to complete it online or download one.

3.      Once you have completed filling out the Patient Medical Profile in its entirety, you will then either mail or fax it back to us. If you plan on mailing the Medical Profile please include your original prescription(s) all at the same time. Please note, this entire process can also be done entirely online via our website.

4.      Once we receive the questionnaire it will be reviewed by our doctor, picked and then sent to the shipping department - this can take up to 1-3 days.

5.      From the time that the shipping department ships your prescriptions to the time that they should arrive at your home could take up to 7-14 days provided there are no problems.

6.      The charges on your receipt will include the prices of your prescription, any non-prescription items that you may have purchased and the US $15.00 shipping charges. These charges can be paid using a Master Card, Visa, and money order made out in US funds if order is mailed to us. Orders made online via the website or by called in by phone, we only accept Visa or Master Card.

7.      In order to have your refills shipped please notify us electronically via "Member Services" under the “view refills” link or call, fax or e-mail us. We do not ship goods without receiving instructions to do so first.

Does it take longer to fill the prescriptions of a new customer?
"Yes. The file will have to be reviewed first by our doctor. This can take up to 1-3 days."

Payment Methods

What payment options do you accept?
"We accept Visa and MasterCard or money order; however, we must verify the money order prior to shipment of the order. We do not accept Discover Card or any other form of payment."

Prescriptions with Medical Profile

When I am faxing in the Medical Profile, should I include my prescriptions in the same envelope/fax?
"Yes. When sending in Medical Profile by mail please send your original prescription(s) in the same envelope. If one arrives with out the other, this may cause delays or cause us to not proceed to fill and or/ship the order." If you are faxing your medical history you will still need to mail your original prescriptions to complete your order.

Pricing Comparisons

How much can I purchase at one time?
"You may purchase for personal use only a maximum of a 3-month supply (100 days) of each of your medications provided that you have a valid prescription for that supply of medication. If your physician writes a prescription for more than a 3-month supply then we can fill those as refills as they come due."

My prescription calls for drugs in a certain strength or volume, can I order a double strength dosage and then cut the medication in half in order save even more money?
"Possibly, depending on what your physician has requested."

Your website/literature quotes a price based on different quantities than my prescription calls for - will you still be able to fill my prescription?
"Yes, we can fill the quantities listed on the web sited provided the American prescription has sufficient refills authorized."

Medial Profile / What is required

I have the book "The Consumers Pharmacy Guide" and it has forms in the back, can I use/submit those forms instead of your Medical Profile?
"No, Canada Discount Healthcare.com did not print that book so the forms in the appendix cannot be used to order prescriptions from us."

My spouse and I require drugs from your company, do we both need to fill out a Medical Profile or will just one suffice for both of us?
"Since no two people have identical medical conditions, each person that purchases drugs from us will be required to fill in a Medical Profile."

Refills - How To / How Long

After my refills have run out, do I have to submit a new Medial Profile?
"No. You are required to fill in a new Medial Profile every 12 months or if you have a significant change in your medical circumstances - which ever comes first."

"If your medical condition changes, you are required to complete a new Medical Profile form."

How long will it take to fill an order for my refills?
"Your order can take up to 7-14 days for shipping provided that there are no problems."

Once my refills have been exhausted can my doctor "call in" for refills?
"No, once your refills have been exhausted you must submit (either by phone, fax or by mail - refills "called in" by doctors will not be accepted) new prescriptions in order to continue receive shipments."  Note: For faster refill service, log into our “Member Services” area and click on “view refills” to request an immediate refill if eligible.

How do I initiate the shipment of my refills?
"
When fills come due the customer order will become available on our website for customers to activate an immediate refill. To access the refill area, log into "Member Services" and go into "View Refills”. Any filled prescription that has refills available will have an “Order Refill” button available that can clicked to initiate the order automatically in our system.

"You also have the option to call, fax or email Canada Discount Healthcare.com and request that the refills be shipped. Canada Discount Healthcare.com will not ship refills without the initiating request of the patient either electronically or verbally."

Sales Tax

Am I obligated to pay any form of sales tax when I order my drugs from you?
"No. We do not charge any form of sales taxes on your purchases. The only charges other than for your medications that you will see on your receipt will be for shipping charges and non-prescription items - if you order them."

Will Canada Discount Healthcare.com Internet Pharmacy always maintain the same selection of drugs permanently?
"No. Canada Discount Healthcare.com may revise and discontinue products at any time without prior notice."

Self-Prescriptions by DOCTORS

I am a licensed and practicing physician in my city/state and would like to begin ordering drugs from your company for my personal use. Do you allow self-prescription by physicians?
"No! Because of the possibility of conflict of interest, our policies do not allow physicians to write prescriptions for themselves, spouses or family members. If a physician would like to become one of our customers, we require them to see their physician and get the appropriate prescription from him or her."

Transferring a Prescription?

Can I get my current prescriptions transferred over from the pharmacy that I presently deal with in the United States?
"We will have to contact your pharmacy to transfer any existing prescriptions, so please provide the contact number of your pharmacy when completing the Medical Profile.

Under AGE 18 /Child permission

I have a child that is under eighteen years of age, do I have to sign the patient questionnaire on his/her behalf?
"Yes. Canada Discount Healthcare.com only deals with people who have met "the age of majority". If you are purchasing on the behalf of a minor, we will require the guardians' signature in the Patient Questionnaire."

What if I am not Approved?

What if your Canadian doctor does not "approve" the prescriptions that my doctor approves for me?
"If our doctor will not approve a certain prescription, our pharmacists will not be able to fill it. You'll have to source the drug from a pharmacy in the United States. Please continue to check your orders on our website in the Member Services area under “view orders” for updates and status on how your order is progressing though the review process"

Why can I buy from Canada?

Are all drugs less expensive in Canada?
"No. The majority are less expensive, but there are some exceptions."

Are all drugs available in the States available Canada?
"No. We do not have all medications that are available in other parts of the world. We do have the majority of medications available in Canada."

Why do some drugs have different names in Canada?
"These are trade or brand names registered by the manufacturer. In different countries manufacturers will often use different trade names. The medications have the same active ingredients, but may look different and have a different trade name. (For example Prilosec (U.S.) and Losec (Canada), or Augmentin(U.S.) and Clavulin (Canada)).

Why do we not sell all drugs?

"We legally cannot ship any narcotic pharmaceuticals also known as scheduled drugs or controlled substances across the border. We also will not sell any potentially habit-forming medications or items that require special handling such as refrigeration."

"Unfortunately no. We are located in Canada and because of this we cannot accept any foreign insurance. We will however, provide you with a proper receipt for insurance purposes. Your insurance company may or may not accept our receipts."
